Do they forget everything after a test, or hit a wall every time a new unit starts? That’s a sign they’ve been memorizing steps — not building understanding.

Here, we don’t start with formulas. We start with the question: “Why does this work?” Once a student truly understands the reasoning, the formula becomes the natural conclusion — not something to memorize and forget. Our instructor holds a PhD in Engineering and applies mathematics to real problems every day. That experience shapes every lesson.

Students who learn this way stop asking “How do I solve this?” and start asking “What principle applies here?” That shift makes a difference in SAT/ACT prep — and in every math class that follows.

Is This the Right Fit?

Students who want to truly understand math — not just memorize steps

Students preparing for SAT/ACT math

Students who are struggling to keep up — or ready to move ahead

Students who learn better in a focused 1-on-1 setting than in group classes

Curriculum by Grade Level

Grade

Focus

Subjects

K–2

Building Number Sense

Counting, Comparing Numbers, Shapes, Addition & Subtraction, Measurement

3–5

Mastering Core Operations

Multiplication & Division, Fractions, Area & Volume, Coordinate Graphing

6–8

Algebra Readiness

Rational Numbers, Equations & Inequalities, Linear Functions, Systems of Equations, Probability

9–12

Algebra through Calculus

Algebra I & II, Geometry, Calculus (including AP), SAT/ACT Math

Sessions are tailored to each student’s current level, school curriculum, and goals.

How Sessions Work

Format: In-person, 1-on-1 only

Session length: 60 minutes

Frequency: Typically once or twice per week, based on student needs

Every session starts with a quick review of what clicked and what didn’t from the previous week.
